The Decent Life Foundation and the Orman Charitable Association, in co-operation with the Abu Hashima Al-Khair Foundation, organised an event in Beni Sueif Governorate to launch 200 economic empowerment projects.
During the event, around 1,000 cartons of food supplies and two tonnes of meat were distributed to the neediest in the governorate, as part of the 600,000 livelihood initiative.
The move, under the umbrella of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW), coincided with the International Day of Charity.
This comes in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives and in line with a co-operation protocol concluded between the three institutions last June, aiming to reduce the burdens on the underprivileged families and empower them economically.
Governor of Beni Sueif Mohamed Hani Ghoneim attended the event, alongside Marwa Fakhry, Executive Director of the Decent Life Foundation, Ahmed Abu Hashima, founder of Abu Hashima Al Khair and Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee in the Senate, and Major General Mamdouh Shaaban, Director General of the Orman Association.
The NACDW was launched in March 2022, with the participation and membership of major civil society and development institutions in Egypt.
