Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas and Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmed Essa discussed mechanisms to enhance air and tourism traffic and operate low-cost aviation activity, which contributes to revitalizing air and tourism traffic to Egypt.

Minister Abbas praised the support of the political leadership and the Egyptian state for the civil aviation and tourism sectors and the encouragement of investments as they are two main axes to support the national economy, pointing to the importance of cooperation and joint coordination between the two ministries on operating low-cost aviation activity.

The minister indicated that a number of controls were agreed upon, including the start of operation with a number of aircraft as a first stage, provided that the number would be gradually increased in light of the operating results and evaluation of the experience with the use of modern, low-emissions aircraft with the availability of reservations via electronic platforms.

For his part, Minister Essa stressed the importance of full cooperation and coordination between the Ministries of Tourism and Antiquities and Civil Aviation to attract more air and tourist traffic to Egypt from the various tourist markets, pointing to the importance of cooperation and joint responsibility of all parties related to the tourism sector to advance it and enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian tourist destinations.
