CAPITALS OF GOVERNORATES – Citizens continued flocking to the polling stations for the 2nd day in a row to cast their ballot in the presidential election 2024 that will end on Tuesday.

The candidates running for the presidency include incumbent President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, who is running for a third term in office and whose electoral symbol is a star; Farid Zahran, the leftist opposition Social Democratic Party candidate with the sun as his electoral symbol; Abdel-Sanad Yamama, candidate of the Wafd party who has chosen the palm tree as his electoral symbol; and Hazem Omar, the Republican People’s Party candidate, with the ladder as his electoral symbol.

North Sinai Governor Mohamed Abdel Fadeel Shousha urged the people to participate in the election.

Gharbiya Governor Tarek Rahmy lauded the awareness of the citizens that was shown by their high turnout to participate in the election and practice their constitutional right.

In Beheira, the voters flocked to the polling stations as of 9 am on Monday to cast their ballot in the presidential election.

In Suez, there was high turnout especially from youth and the elderly.

Beni Suef Governor Mohamed Hany Ghoniem said that the necessary facilities are available to facilitate the voting operation.

In Gharbiya, the voters, especially women and the elderly, flocked to the polling stations as of 9 am.

In Alexandria, the voters from different ages participate in the election.

In Kafr el Sheikh, Governor Gamal Noureldin asserted that the central operations room is following up on the election around the clock and contact all the security and executive bodies to facilitate the voting process.

In Matrouh, Governor Khaled Shoeeb asserted that the polling stations received the voters for the second day in a row in the presidential election, adding that there are 342,000 voters in the governorate.

He lauded the positive participation of the residents of the governorate during the first day of the election, urging them to continue their national role and cast their ballot during the second day.

In Luxor, Governor Moustafa Alham asserted that there is an operation room that is following up the flow of the voters for 24 hours to make sure that any emergency is handled as soon as possible.

In Dakahliya, Nation’s Future Party organized a rally to support the political participation.
