Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture el-Sayed el-Qoseir during his meeting on Sunday with Arab Centre for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands chairman (ACSAD) Naser Edin Obaid.
The Ministry of Agriculture will participate in COP27 to review the challenges to the agricultural sector in Egypt and African countries due to climate change.
This statement by Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation el-Sayed el-Qoseir came during a meeting with Arab Centre for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands chairman (ACSAD) Naser Edin Obaid.
Organising COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh shows the importance of Egypt’s role in the international arena, the minister said.
The ACSAD chief said the centre would be presenting means to adapt to climate change in the Arab world for the sake of food security and maintaining water resources in the Arab region.
The meeting covered co-operation between the Ministry of Agriculture and the ACSAD in sustainable development and adaptation to climate change.
