CAIRO – The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has decided to keep the overnight deposit rate and overnight lending rate unchanged at 19.25 percent and 20.25 percent respectively.
The decision was made by the CBE’s Monetary Policy Committee during a meeting it held earlier on Thursday, the CBE said in a statement.
The committee also decided to fix the CBE’s main operation rate and discount rate at 19.75 percent each.
