CAIRO – The trade balance deficit has retreated by 47 per cent to reach 2.48 billion dollars during January 2023, compared with 4.68 billion dollars during the same month of 2022, said the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) on Thursday.
In a report, CAPMAS said exports went down by 7.1 per cent to reach 3.85 billion dollars in January 2023 against 4.15 billion dollars in the same month of last year.
Meanwhile, imports dropped by 28.2 per cent to stand at 6.33 billion dollars in January 2023 against 8.83 billion dollars in the same month of 2022.
