CAIRO- Egypt’s annual core inflation rate declined to 35.2 percent in December 2023 from 36.4 percent in November, according to the the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) on Wednesday.
CAPMAS said in a statement that the overall consumer price index for the whole country reached 194.2 points in December November 2023, reflecting an annual inflation rate of 35.2 percent.
The Agency attributed the decline to the decrease in prices of meat and poultry by -1.7 percent, and the change of fruit prices by 4.0 percent and vegetables by 5.3 percent.
