Cairo University ranked at the top of local universities on the 2022 UI Green Metric rankings.
It ranked the second after the American University in Cairo at the African level.
Cairo University occupied the 270th position on the UI GreenMetric World University Ranking.
The UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is a ranking on green campus and environmental sustainability initiated by Universitas Indonesia in 2010. Through 39 indicators in 6 criteria, UI GreenMetric World University Rankings prudently determined the rankings by universities’ environmental commitment and initiatives.
This came in a report which Cairo University President Mohamed Osman Khosht received from his deputy Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek.
