Egypt said on Saturday that it followed with grief and sorrow news of the human losses that were induced by forest fires in different areas in Turkey in the previous days.
“While Egypt extends its sincere condolences to the families of the victims of the fires, it expresses its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
It added that Egypt stands in solidarity with the people and government of Turkey in the face of this natural disaster.
The death toll from wildfires on Turkey’s southern coast rose yesterday to four.
Firefighters were battling blazes for the fourth day yesterday after evacuating of dozens of villages and some hotels.
More than 70 wildfires have broken out this week in provinces on Turkey’s Aegean and Mediterranean coasts as well as inland areas.
