Egypt has strongly condemned the “repeated and unlawful Iranian attacks” targeting Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, saying these attacks constitute a flagrant violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of those countries and represent a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability.
In a statement issued by the foreign ministry in Cairo, Egypt reaffirmed its full solidarity with the three countries, and reiterated support for all measures they might take to safeguard their security and stability, and protect their citizens and national resources.
Egypt also expressed categorical rejection of these repeated attacks, and stressed that the “security of fellow Arab states is a fundamental pillar of Egyptian and Arab national security”.
The statement also underscored the need to halt escalation, respect the sovereignty of states and prioritise political and diplomatic solutions in order to preserve security and stability across the region.
