The Egyptian cabinet approved – during a meeting on Wednesday under Premier Moustafa Madbouli – a number of important decisions.

The cabinet approved a draft presidential decree on allocating 40.41 feddans of state-owned lands in Giza’s Ayyat district to the Giza governorate to establish a mechanised slaughterhouse.

The cabinet also approved a draft presidential decree on amending some provisions of the presidential decree no 36 of 2019 on establishing a private university – called Sphinx University – in New Assiut city.

The cabinet also approved a draft decision by the premier on reducing fees of some universities for foreign students or Egyptian students who study in another governorate.

The cabinet also endorsed the minutes of meetings of the higher committee for compensation with regard to a number of compensations to contracting, supply and public service contracts.

The cabinet also agreed to allow those booking units in the social housing project to amend their requests.

The cabinet also approved contracting with Misr for Educational Management to run the five branches of the Nile Egyptian Schools for one year starting from July 1, 2022.

The cabinet also approved that Konko Technologies company would book 19 industrial units in Bayad Al Arab complex in Beni Suef governorate under renting system.

The cabinet also approved a draft presidential decree on allocating 67,85 feddans of state-owned lands in Toud city to the Luxor governorate to establish a sewage treatment station.
