Head of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereign Council and Army Chief Abd al-Fattaḥ Abd al-Raḥman al-Burhan said on Tuesday the Sudanese Armed Forces seeks to establish a genuine interim stage in the run up to holding fair and free elections.
During a speech on the occasion of his visit to Egypt, he said he posted Egypt’s leadership on the latest developments in Sudan and discussed with Egyptian officials the conditions of the Sudanese community in Egypt.
Burhan thanked president Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the Egyptian government and the Egyptian people for welcoming the Sudanese on Egypt’s lands.
He said that Sudan is facing a destructive war waged by a rebellious group which committed the most heinous crimes in Khartoum, Al Genina and various parts of Sudan.
The Sudanese army chief said the rebellious group pillaged the property and looted the funds of the Sudanese people.
