The Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) and the Sudanese Defence Industries Wednesday reviewed means to strengthen co-operation.
AOI chairman Abdel Moneim el-Terras and Lieutenant General Mirghani Idris Suleiman, head of the Sudanese Defence Industries and his accompanying delegation discussed means for further co-operation and making use of the advanced capabilities of the AOI to meet the requirements of development projects, as well as the defence and security industries in Sudan.
The two officials also discussed the formation of a joint technical committee to study the available potential and determine the aspects of co-operation in industrialisation in accordance with the latest systems of the fourth industrial revolution, digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
Idris said his country is keen to strengthen partnership and co-operation relations with Egypt in all industrial and development fields, as well as benefit from its experience in these fields.
For his part, el-Terras affirmed the importance of co-operation with the countries of the African continent and implement presidential directives to open new horizons of co-operation and integration in all industrial and economic fields.
After the end of talks, they visited the exhibition of AOI products.
Idris praised the diversity of products, the AOI’s advanced industrial base, and its plans to deepen local manufacturing and localise modern technology, as well as developing production lines to become smart lines meeting the highest international quality standards.
He also inspected the AOI training academy that offers training courses in all areas of industry and management in line with the most up-to-date digital training systems.
