CAIRO – Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) Waleed Gamal Eddin said the zone’s plans focus on localizing and strengthening green fuel industries, according to a statement by SCZONE.
Gamal Eddin’s remarks were made while receiving a ministerial delegation from Bahrain, led by Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Bahraini Minister of Finance and National Economy Friday.
The zone said in the statement that the delegation’s visit to its HQ in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) aimed at learning more about potential investment chances and ways of joint cooperation on all fronts.
Gamal Eddin asserted the visit shows deep-rooted and strong relations between the two countries.
For his part, Sheikh Salman affirmed the constant growth of the deep-rooted fraternal Bahraini-Egyptian relations in all fields, particularly the financial and economic ones, stressing the importance of consolidating them further to benefit the two countries and their peoples.
The delegation is visiting Egypt as part of the first meeting of the Egyptian-Bahraini Governmental Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation.
Sheikh Salman reviewed the ongoing cooperation between the two countries, highlighting the major role played by SCZONE in enhancing economic development and supporting the investment business environment in Egypt.
He also stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen bilateral relations and pushing them towards broader levels in order to meet common aspirations and interests.
The two sides reviewed ways to broaden areas of bilateral cooperation, in addition to the latest global economic developments.
