Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb greeted on Saturday Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark Diocese on the occasion of Christmas, praying to Almighty God to provide Egypt with all means of prosperity and progress.
This came during Tayyeb’s visit to Pope Tawadros.
Tayyeb was accompanied by Awqaf Minister Osama el Azhary, Egyptian Mufti Nazir Ayyad, Azhar Undersecretary Mohamed el Dhuweiny and President of Azhar University Salama Dawood.
Meanwhile, Pope Tawadros asserted that this visit reflects the fraternal spirit between the Egyptians, both Muslims and Christians.
