Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev asserted the importance of his current visit to Egypt, adding that it aims at promoting ties between Egypt and Azerbaijan.
In his word during a joint press conference with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at El Ittihadiya Palace on Saturday, Aliyev expressed thanks for the official invitation he received from President Sisi to visit Egypt.
Aliyev invited Sisi to attend COP29, lauding Egypt’s success in organizing COP27 on climate change.
He expressed Azerbaijan’s readiness to benefit from the Egyptian expertise in organizing and preparing COP29.
He asserted that there is concord in stances between both countries in the international organization in the different issues, pointing out to the fruitful cooperation between Egypt and Azerbaijan within the framework of the UN, OIC and NAM.
