The Egyptian Ministry of Awqaf on Sunday said it will inaugurate 16 new mosques on Friday, including 12 new mosques and four restored ones, bringing the total number of inaugurated mosques nationwide since January 7, 2023 to 243.
This comes within the framework of the Awqaf Ministry plan to renovate and build new mosques nationwide.
The renovated mosques which will open doors on Friday are located in the governorates of New Valley, Damiette, Suez, Minya, Beheira, Giza, Qena, Faiyum and Gharbiya, according to a statement issued by the Aqwaf Ministry.
