CAIRO- Egyptian Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa stressed that mosques restored its pioneering role under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
On Twitter on Thursday, the minister said mosques are embracing youths and teaching men and women the moderate teachings of Islam that contribute to serving society.
He added that summer programmes launched in mosques for children witnessed wide participation.
