ASWAN, Upper Egypt – Head of quantitative union of environment in Aswan and general coordinator of local platform of climate change Ahmed Zaki Abu Kenez said a dialogue was launched among women to spread awareness about climate change, its impact on the environment and community, adaptation means and women’s role in this respect.
The dialogue also highlighted the efforts exerted by Egypt under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to host the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Sharm el-Sheikh in November.
The Aswan platform organized in tandem with the Egyptian Association for Human Development and the Orange initiative for women empowerment a workshop on women’s establishment of small business for bettering their living conditions and confronting the negative impact of climate change on families’ income.
