Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lieutenant General Osama Askar inspected on Saturday a project for reclaiming and cultivating desert lands in Toshka.
The project adds to a series of giant national projects to which the Armed Forces is contributing, he said.
Askar stood on the progress realized so far in the project and the set timetable to reach the aspired goals.
This will help establish integrated agricultural communities with high economic returns, he said, adding that the project will contribute to realizing an agricultural leap in the field of food security.
Askar was accompanied by a number of Armed forces commanders.
