The Southern Military Region has implemented a number of drills and joint tasks on confronting threats and hostilities.
The Armed Forces Spokesman said in a statement that activities are part of the combat training plan for formations and units of the army. He added that formations of Navy, Air Defence Forces, and elements of the Parachute Forces, Border Guards, and Logistics Authority took part in the training.
The activities demonstrated the high level preparedness of the participating elements and their ability to carry out joint tasks and to work in an integrated manner in accordance with the latest military planning strategies and based on scientific foundations of advanced combat tactics systems, he said.
This, he added, comes within the framework of the Armed Forces’ keenness to develop and maximize its capabilities through implementing advanced training activities on various operational theaters to maintain levels of readiness and high combat efficiency on all strategic directions.
A number of Armed Forces top brass were present, he said.
