Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), Abdel Monem el-Tarras, said on Sunday that his organization co-operates with state institutions in exploiting national industrial and research capabilities to implement the national Sustainable Development Vision 2030.

He added during the signing of a co-operation protocol with the Egyptian Space Agency that this comes within the framework of the AOI’s efforts to implement instructions by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

El-Tarras praised the scientific expertise of the agency, noting that it had been established with Egyptian hands and after the most modern technologies.

‘Huge efforts are being made to localize space, communication and satellite technologies,’ el-Tarras said.

He added that co-operation between his organization and the Egyptian Space Agency would include the localization of space sciences and technologies.

This co-operation, he added, would also include the upgrade of these technologies and possessing the capabilities for building satellites in ways that serve the national strategy in all fields of development best.

El-Tarras said the AOI would roll out its modern industrial capabilities for the advancement of the work of the Egyptian Space Agency.

‘Co-operation between the two sides also includes the exploitation of their technical and technological capabilities,’ he added.

He said this would particularly apply to the making of space equipment and laboratories and the training of professionals in different research projects.

El-Tarras said co-operation between his organization and the Egyptian Space Agency would create jobs for engineers and technicians and training opportunities for the acquisition of modern expertise.

Meanwhile, Executive Head of the Egyptian Space Agency, Mohamed el-Qousi, praised close co-operation between his agency and the AOI.

He also expressed high esteem for the role the AOI plays in implementing economic and development projects in different parts of Egypt and in supporting different research projects in the country.
