The Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Nigerian company Venicious to strengthen co-operation and industrial integration in the defense sector.
AOI Director General, Abdel Rahman Abdel Azim Othman, signed the agreement with Venicious CEO, Saifullah Babangida. It goes in line with Egypt’s efforts to expand industrial partnerships and boost exports under Egypt Vision 2030.
The agreement reflects Egypt’s commitment to boosting with African countries and opening new opportunities for industrial integration, AOI Chairman Mokhtar Abdel Latif said.
The two sides agreed to co-operate in meeting some of the needs of the Nigerian Ministry of Defense, he added.
The partnership aims to localise technology, transfer technical expertise, increase local manufacturing, and train Nigerian personnel using the AOI’s industrial and training capabilities.
Abdel Latif added that both sides agreed on mechanisms and timelines to implement joint projects and explore export opportunities in African and Arab markets through government contracts.
During a visit to the AOI’s product exhibition, the Nigerian delegation commended the quality and development of the organisation’s defense and civilian products and expressed interest in expanding co-operation in manufacturing and technology localisation.
