The Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) has signed a manufacturing agreement with China’s CETC International to produce communication devices in Egypt, aiming to localiseadvanced technology and expand domestic electronics production.
The deal was signed by Chairman of AOI’s Electronics Factory, Major General Engineer Ahmed Abdel Aziz.
During the signing ceremony, AOI Chairman Major General Engineer Mokhtar Abdel Latif highlighted the importance of the partnership in strengthening Egypt’s industrial base.
This co-operation will help localise technology, deepen domestic manufacturing, and open export opportunities with products that meet global quality standards at competitive prices.
AOI factories and companies are set to become hubs for strategic cooperation and knowledge exchange with CETC, serving both local needs and those of friendly nations, he added.
For his part, CETC Vice President San Ying Shen expressed pride in partnering with AOI, describing the organisation as Egypt’s key industrial arm. He emphasised that the agreement marks an important step toward advancing local manufacturing and introducing cutting-edge technologies by leveraging AOI’smodern production capabilities.
