The Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) and the Arab Court of Arbitration, affiliated to the Arab League signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to boost cooperation in many domains, including commercial arbitration domains.

The signing ceremony was attended by Speaker of the Egyptian Senate Abdel Wahab Abdel Razek in the presence of Secretary General of the Arab Economic Unity Council Mohamedy Ahmed Alni and Somali Ambassador in Cairo Ali Abdi Awari.

During the signing ceremony, held at the headquarters of the Arab Court of Arbitration, Chairman of AOI Mokhtar Abdel Latif expressed his appreciation and pride in this cooperation with the court, commending its expertise in commercial arbitration and the resolution of local and international investment disputes.

He pointed out that the areas of cooperation include the implementation of joint programs and training courses for professionals in domestic, Arab and international commercial arbitration, as well as commercial contracts.

It also involves leveraging AOI’s capabilities in administrative, technical, and specialized training, particularly in modern technologies, artificial intelligence, digital transformation and information technology, he said.

He added that AOI had, from an early stage, developed an ambitious plan to upskill and train the workforce across all its factories and subsidiaries, contributing to the implementation of institutional development and digital transformation plans.

This initiative aims to achieve sustainable resource management and empower employees to make optimal use of AI and digital tools in manufacturing, production, project execution and management.

This falls in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for Sustainable Development. He also highlighted that AOI owns academies and specialized institutes for training based on the latest software systems and in accordance with the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Abdel Latif welcomed the opportunity to expand cooperation with the Arab Court of Arbitration across various fields, by utilizing AOI’s advanced industrial and human resources in all its factories and companies.

Abdel Razek expressed his appreciation for the important role played by AOI, describing it as the industrial backbone of the Egyptian state in localizing technology, deepening local manufacturing, increasing added value in national industries and developing human resources.

He also praised AOI’s role in furnishing the new Senate headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, in accordance with the highest international quality standards and within the scheduled timeline.
