ALEXANDRIA, Egypt – President of Alexandria University Abdelaziz Konsowa said Saturday that the university has been listed in the Times Higher Education Emerging Economies University Rankings 2022 in the (301-350) bracket worldwide.
He hailed the distinguished efforts exerted by the university’s teaching staff to achieve the Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry’s plan under the State’s sustainable development strategy; Egypt Vision 2030.
The Times uses 13 indicators to judge the performance of universities based on their teaching methods, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook as well as development priorities.
Overall, there are 698 universities in the ranking this year, up from 606 in 2021, and 50 territories are represented, two more than last year. Eleven countries have a new number one university this year.
