Chairman of the New El-Alamein City Development Authority Wael Samir said the city will host the open republic rowing championship in the coming period.
The tournament will be held at the natural lakes and the coastal areas under the supervision of the Egyptian Rowing Federation, according to him.
Samir stressed in press statements on Saturday that the authority has provided all facilities to hold the championship.
He said people of special needs will have a chance to participate in the tournament.
The championship aims at bringing the city to limelight in order to lure more investments into it, added Samir.
