CAIRO – The Arab League (AL) has welcomed a report issued by Amnesty International in which it uncovered Israel’s cruel system of domination and apartheid and the crimes against humanity which it practices against the Palestinian people.

Hailing the Amnesty report, AL Assistant Secretary General for Palestinian Affairs and Occupied Arab Territories Saeed Abu Ali told reporters, during a meeting held at the AL General Secretariat premises to shed light on the major violations committed by the Israeli occupation authorities against the Palestinians in 2021, that this report represents a key legal international document.

This report comes amid the war crimes and crimes against humanity that have been seriously escalated against the Palestinians in 2021, Abu Ali said.

This is the most professional, credible and transparent international human rights report, that is added to the series of international reports warning against the apartheid practices committed by Israel against the inalienable rights of the Palestinians, topped by their right to self-determination, he added.

The AL General Secretariat is keen to periodically register the Israeli occupation authority’s violations in the Palestinian territories, he said.

Abu Ali added that official indications and data published by the Palestinian State show that the occupied Palestinian territories have witnessed unprecedented escalation in violations in 2021 via the repeated daily storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He also shed light on the serious violations that have been committed against the occupied Jerusalem city (East Jerusalem) including Judaization, forced displacement and rapid settlement operations.

Abu Ali highlighted field executions against Palestinian civilians in addition to the campaigns of repression and persecution against the Palestinian prisoners.
