CAIRO – The Arab League condemned the aggressive attack of the Israeli forces on Martyr Faisal Al Husseini Stadium in Ramallah in the north of al Quds in March.
The forces fired a barrage of tear gas canisters during a soccer match between the Balata Center and Jabal Mukaber football teams and terrified the players and audiences.
Targeting the Palestinian sport and the sport infrastructure coincide with the Israeli violations and aggression against the Palestinians all over the country, Arab League Assistant Secretary-General Saeed Abu Ali said in statements on Thursday.
Abu Ali asserted the full support of the Arab League to the struggle of the Palestinians, urging the FIFA to effectively intervene to guarantee the right of the Palestinians to practice sports freely.
