Speaker of Libya’s House of Representatives Aguila Saleh thanked the Egyptian State and the political leadership for their great efforts to help Libya overcome its crisis.
Saleh made the remarks on Thursday at a press conference held at the Egyptian House of Representatives HQ in the presence of Egyptian House Speaker Hanafi Gebali and Head of the Libyan High State Council (HSC) Khaled Mishri.
Saleh lauded the wise and brave stances of the Egyptian leadership, that sought to serve the Libyan interests and halt foreign interference in the Libyan affairs.
Egypt has also encouraged Libyans to reach a rapprochement in preparations for presidential and parliamentary elections, Saleh said.
Saleh said Egypt hosted Libyan meetings at a time when it was hard to hold them in Libya and communicated with all politicians and military figures to end all disputes.
Saleh said all Libyans seek to take needed measures to reach presidential and parliamentary elections, thanking the Egyptian leadership for its keenness on Libya’s stability.
