Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Sayyed El Qusseir has praised the European Union’s role in backing Egypt’s agricultural and development projects.
The minister’s statements came during a meeting Monday with the EU Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski in the presence of EU ambassador Christian Berger.
The minister said the Egyptian state seeks to achieve food security given the challenges the world is facing.
For his part, the European commissioner said that Egypt is keen on developing the agricultural sector to achieve food security.
