Egyptian Agriculture Minister el Sayyed el Quser said that organizing COP 27 in Sharm el Sheikh asserts the importance of Egypt’s role on the international arena.
The Ministry of Agriculture will participate in the event to review the challenges facing the agricultural sector in Egypt and African due to climate change, he said.
This came during Quser’s meeting with Head of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD) Naser Edin Obaid.
Meanwhile, Obaid reviewed ACSAD’s participation in COP 27 via presenting applied examples to adapt to the climate change in the Arab world to achieve Arab food security and increase efficiency of water resources in the Arab region.
The meeting tackled the cooperation projects between the Ministry of Agriculture and ACSAD in the domains of sustainable development ad implementing projects of adaptation to the climate change risks.
