The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population organized Thursday a field tour to a delegation of the Africa Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) of the African Union (AU) to inspect viruses clinics in psychiatric hospitals.
Spokesman for the Health and Population Ministry Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said the visit’s program includes holding a medical workshop in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Mental Health and Africa CDC, along with the National Committee for Combating Hepatitis and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Participants in the event are offered an opportunity for exchanging experiences, viewpoints and advanced approaches in eradicating viruses, he added.
The workshop aims to highlight the Egyptian experiment in eliminating Hepatitis C Virus, according to the spokesman.
