Minister of Planning and Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania Al Mashat said Monday Africa is a partner in shaping the world’s future.
This came as she participated today, in a CNN International Global Perspectives, inaugural event in the United Kingdom to discuss shifts in the economic situation in Africa.
The Minister said the event brings together an elite group of political leaders, international decision-makers, representatives of the private sector, and international institutions to discuss Africa’s role as a pivotal continent in the era of global transformations.
The ministry said Egyptian participation in the event aims to enhance the role it plays within the African continent, highlighting national efforts in supporting development priorities and maximizing international partnerships, in addition to emphasizing the importance of investing in Africa.
The continent possesses huge development opportunities in the fields of green transition, sustainable infrastructure, supply chains, and development finance.
She noted that the event, organized by CNN International, features in-depth discussions on the future of the African economy, tools for leadership and transformation, and ways to maximize economic opportunities through innovation, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and building partnerships that achieve sustainable developmental impact across Africa and the world.
