The shipment was handled in accordance with relevant international environmental standards, the SCZone noted in its statement. These standards, it added, aim at preventing environmental pollution during the storage and transportation of such substances.Observance of such standards, the Zone said in its statement, comes in pursuance of President Sisi’s directives to convert local ports to environmentally and friendly green ports, with global standards of sustainability.“East-Port Said Port observed international standards of green ports in shipping such dry bulk materials,”  SCZone Chairman Yehia Zaki was quoted by the statement as saying. He also noted that the specifications applied in dealing with this shipment paralleled those of the European green ports.East Port Said Port, an affiliate of the SCZone, succeeded in loading the vessel with 50,000 tons, the Zone chairman said, adding that this success expands the exportability of Sinai products and creates more job opportunities for Egyptian young people.
