The 79th meeting of the Executive Bureau of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs kicked off in Cairo on Monday under Saudi Minister of Social Affairs Ahmed Soliman Al Rajhi in the presence of Arab delegations.
At the start of the meeting, Rajhi welcomed the Palestinian delegation to the meeting and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people who pass through difficult circumstances.
He said the developments in the Arab region require focusing on meeting the needs of the Arab people to achieve prosperity, social peace and sustainable development.
Assistant Arab League Secretary General Haifaa Abu Ghazala said the 79th session coincides with a tragedy the Palestinian people are facing, stressing the importance of providing humanitarian and social support for the Palestinians.
