Egypt’s State Minister of Emigration Soha Gendy said that the total value of payment orders of those benefiting from the initiative of cars for Egyptian expats reached 2 billion dollars.
She said that the number of the Egyptians who registered on the initiative’s platform to bring cars for personal use without customs reached 589,724 Egyptians since the start of the initiative.
In a statement on Saturday, Gendy said the initiative was launched in response to requests of the Egyptian expatriates to bring cars from abroad.
Since launching the initiative, the ministry worked on removing all the obstacles facing the Egyptian expats, Gendy said.
