An Air Europa flight landed at Sphinx International Airport earlier Tuesday coming from Madrid, Spain.
It is the first flight by that Spanish flag carrier to arrive in Egypt. Two Air Europa flights will be bound for Egypt every month.
Sphinx International Airport has been established to serve mainly one-day trips to the Giza Plateau and the Great Egyptian Museum.
