ARISH, Egypt– As many as 147 flights have landed at Arish airport in Egypt since October 12 carrying about 3,619 tons of aid to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Aid supplies will then be delivered to Gaza in coordination with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, said head of the Egyptan Red Crescent Society in North Sinai Khaled Zayed on Sunday.
The aid is offered by 30 Arab and foreign countries, as well as 14 regional and international organizations,.
The offered humanitarian assistance includes medication, medical equipment, foodstuffs, tents and equipped ambulances, Zayed added.
Two planes coming from Saudi Arabia and Qatar laden with 80 tons of aid arrived in Arish today.
