The Egyptian Ministry of Education plans to add 14,000 classrooms to existing schools to reduce overcrowding.
Minister of Education Tarek Shawki on Sunday followed up his ministry’s contribution to the presidential ‘Decent Life’ initiative.
Shawki said his ministry is tireless in its efforts to support ‘Decent Life’ to improve public services in rural areas.
The setting up of ‘smart’ classes as part of the government’s digitisation programme is also planned, as science clubs in village schools will be supplied with apparatus to conduct science experiments.
This is in addition to organising art exhibitions and displaying handicrafts.
