Chairman of the National Food Safety Authority (NFSA), Dr Tareq El-Houby, and President of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), Dr Ali El-Ghamrawy, met on Sunday to discuss ways of co-operation to deepen bilateral relations between the two bodies.
They emphasised the importance of permanent coordination in the areas of regulatory control over food safety and pharmaceuticals and the importance of complementarity and co-operation between all the various regulatory bodies in Egypt to ensure the safety of citizens and the effectiveness and safety of products reaching them.
They highlighted the ability of the two bodies to move forward in achieving the most important indicators of the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen.
The meeting came within the framework of continuous communication, the exchange of views and perspectives, and the formulation of mechanisms and policies to ensure citizens’ access to well-being and the quality of the pharmaceutical and food services they receive.
