SADAT CITY – Board Chairman of Silo Foods for Food Industries Akram Abdel Gelil el Hefnawy announced the start of measures to expand the business of the company via establishing the third stage.
International companies implement the third stage of the biggest industrial city for food products which is the first and only industrial city for food products in the Middle East, he said.
Establishing the food industrial city comes within the framework of supporting the sectors of the state and civil community to control the prices of strategic goods and offering them at competitive prices in addition to support the supply system to encourage Egyptian national security according to the directives of the political leadership, he told MENA.
A strategic plan was set to achieve expansion of the products of the company in the local and international markets via participating in different exhibitions internally to achieve stability and externally to achieve revenue of foreign currency, he said.
Silo Foods, affiliated to National Service Projects Organisation of the Armed Forces, is established on an area of 135 feddans equipped with the latest European production lines.
Hefnawy pointed out to the role of the company in contributing to providing Egyptian food security and presenting healthy meals to school students on daily basis.
The company produces a various group of basic and strategic goods and high quality food products and present them in the local markets at competitive prices to ease the burdens of the citizens and export the surplus production abroad, he said.
The company produces pasta, flour, biscuits, noodles, bakeries, milk, cheese and chocolate with international quality to meet the needs of the citizens, he added.
The products of the company are produced in six factories where the latest technology is used, he said.
Silo Foods exported 37,000 tonnes of its products to 25 countries around the world, he said.
The company entered Guinness World Records for distributing 600 million school meals in 2022 which is the highest rate of distributing school meals around the world, he said.
The city includes a mosque, a hotel for the residency of the investors, foreigners and citizens, a big hall, reception places, administrative offices and a main building.
