Egyptians abroad can find out about the advantages of investing the stock exchange.
Minister of State for Immigration Nabila Makram Thursday announced her ministry’s setting up platforms to give Egyptian expatriates information on brokers and investment tools.
This statement came during a meeting with head of the Egyptian Stock Exchange Mohamed Farid Saleh.
Egyptian expats have made many inquiries about investment in the bourse, the minister said, urging brokerages to introduce their services on ministry platforms.
For his part, Saleh said various financial products allow different types of investors in stocks, bonds, exchange-related funds (ETFs), and real estate funds.
Potential expat investors might go indirectly through endowment funds that spread funds in a portfolio of stocks, bonds and treasury bills.
The bourse website lists all securities brokers as well as their geographical location to make it easy for first-time investors in the stock exchange.
