CAIRO – The Egyptian Initiative for Business Climate Reform “Errada”, on behalf of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, has held a symposium with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Korea Development Institute (KDI).
The symposium, entitled “Action planning to support the ecosystem for startups in Egypt”, comes as part of the knowledge exchange program between Egypt and South Korea.
The event was attended by Errada Executive Director Heba Shaheen, EBRD Regional Manager for Small Business Support in Egypt Reem el Saady and a delegation from South Korea.
The symposium is held in light of joint cooperation in the field of developing policies and studies aimed at creating a legislative environment that attracts investment and financing startups in Egypt, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development said in a statement.
Shaheen said “Errada” is aware of the importance of supporting entrepreneurship and startups as well as creating an environment meant to foster growth and innovation.
She added that a report is being compiled including information about entrepreneurial ecosystems in South Korea and Egypt according to a knowledge exchange program between both countries.
