The Egyptian cabinet approved during its weekly meeting on Wednesday a request by the Egyptian Railway Authority to contract with a consortium of companies – Germany’s Siemens, Orascom Construction and Arab Contractors – to implement the express electric rail project which will link Ain Sokhna, Alamein and Matrouh.
The consortium will be in charge of comprehensive maintenance of the project for 15 years.
Meanwhile, the cabinet approved recommendations issued by governmental conflict settlement committees concerning 30 intra-governmental disputes involving ministries or any other official departments, agencies or institutions
