CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy conferred with Australian Ambassador to Egypt Axel Wabenhorst on Thursday on bilateral co-operation in the sectors of youth and sports in light of the diplomatic ties binding them.
The meeting tackled means to exchange expertise in the field of sport sciences, agricultural entrepreneur and economic empowerment of youth in addition to working on preparing a memorandum of co-operation between the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports and its Australian opposite number.
The meeting took up Egypt’s vision on hosting 2036 Olympics in the New Administrative Capital.
Sobhy asserted the keenness on boosting cooperation with foreign countries within the framework of the Egyptian political leadership under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Meanwhile, Wabenhorst said that Australia welcomes co-operation with the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports.
