The operations director of the Malaysian company Sime Darby Oils said his company is mulling investment incentives in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone).
He made the remarks on Wednesday during an inspection tour by the company’s delegation in the SCZone.
This falls within the framework of the zone’s policy aiming at enhancing ties with the international business community, according to a statement by the SCZone.
SCZone Deputy Chairman for the southern zone Walid Youssef and the authority’s Deputy Chairman for investment affairs Ibrahim Abdel Khaleq accompanied the delegation during the inspection tour.
They briefed the delegation on the SCZone’s potentials and its contribution to promote the international trade.
The Malaysian company’s operations director said the delegation’s visit comes in light of ongoing studies to stand on investment opportunities in the Egyptian market.
