Egypt’s Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfiq asserted that police has set a unique example of sacrifices and loyalty through the ages.
The minister also spoke highly of sacrifices being made by policemen for the sake of Egypt’s security and stability.
The minister’s remarks were made Monday while attending the celebrations of the 71st Police Day at the Police Academy in New Cairo, in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Tawfiq, meanwhile, citied the daunting challenges besetting all world countries, underlining the need of safeguarding the homeland and the citizens.
The interior minister further welcomed the participation of President Sisi in the celebration to mark the glorious Battle of Ismailia in which the heroism of policemen was embodied and the values of sacrifice, redemption and courage were upheld in defense of the homeland. (
