Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri in phone talks Friday with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed Egyptian-Chinese relations.
The two officials also discussed ongoing coordination between Egypt and China in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and means of reducing its effects, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Ahmed Hafez said.
He added that discussions also covered ongoing cooperation between Egypt and China in the manufacture of coronavirus vaccines and preparations for the coming visit of the Chinese foreign minister to Cairo, Ambassador Hafez said.
He noted that the two top diplomats also had an “extended” and a “deep” discussion on the Ethiopian Nile dam file.
