Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi honoured on Thursday a number of distinguished cadres in Dakahlia Governorate, northeast of Cairo.
The president honoured Egyptian swimmer, Ahmed Osama Mohamed Ali, a 4th year student at the Faculty of Engineering, Delta University For Science And Technology, who set a record for crossing the English Channel, swimming 65 kilometres continuously in 13 hours and 59 minutes until reaching the French shore.
President Sisi also honoured Dr. Hossam el-Din Ibrahim Ali Sharaf, a holder of a bachelor of Pharmacy degree, who ranked 2nd in world scientific research in the International Conference on Science, Technology and Innovation indicators and 1st in the 2021 research competition for graduate students of Egyptian universities.
